Ruby Wedding Cake

This was the cake I made for my mum and dads Ruby Wedding, the detail on it is what's called smocking as it literally looks like a smocked garment with champagne frills around the edges. The top is all over piped in a ruby icing. Each corner is set with a single ruby rose followed by a posy of roses with a bow. The board and base of the cake are trimmed with matching ribbon. And of course all piped in the ruby colour.
